Install WhizCV and handle connection problems
Install the app when offered and understand which actions require connectivity.

Install when offered
If the browser shows the WhizCV installation banner, choose Install and follow its prompt. Installing provides a convenient app entry point; the same account and access rules apply. The prompt depends on browser and device.
When the connection drops
If an offline or loading error appears, reconnect and use Try again. Check whether the last edit saved before closing or reloading. Avoid repeating requests while an earlier operation is still pending.
What needs a connection
Installation does not make every feature available offline. Download and Share Link explicitly require connectivity. Server-backed actions such as AI requests, uploads and account changes need access to the service. A guest document in browser storage is not a server backup.
Before refreshing a page that will not save
- Copy any unsaved writing somewhere you can recover it.
- Check the connection and read the saving or error indicator in the editor.
- Wait for an in-progress save to finish. If the app asks you to reload after a conflict, keep the copy first.
- After reopening, compare the document with your copy and reapply only missing edits.
Do not clear browser site data as a first troubleshooting step, especially for a guest CV. A guest document only lives in that browser until it is saved to an account.
