Fix common layout and export problems

Check page flow, overflowing content and unexpected styling.

Content moves to another page

Pages are calculated from your content and layout. Adding text, changing fonts or increasing spacing can move content onto another page. WhizCV does not provide manual add-page or page-break controls.

Try shortening long descriptions or reducing unnecessary spacing. Check the result after each change rather than changing several settings at once.

Content is cut off

Pay attention to overflow warnings in the editor or download dialog. A block that is taller than the available page space may need shorter content or smaller spacing. Open the exported file and check the affected area after adjusting it.

A style change seems to do nothing

Make sure the control belongs to the area you want to change. A section background, heading background and column background are different settings. Check whether a custom value overrides a preset or template value.

Saving or AI edits report a conflict

Another change may have updated the document since you opened it. Follow the app's reload guidance, check the latest content and request a fresh AI proposal if needed. Keep a copy of any unsaved text before reloading.

A download fails

Check the error message and your connection. Return to the preview and resolve any visible warnings. Try again after saving finishes; do not assume a failed download means your document was deleted.
