Add a job
- Open Job search from the sidebar and choose Add application.
- Paste a link to the job ad, or the ad itself. If the site won't let WhizCV read the page, paste the ad text instead.
- Save it. The job's page reads the ad on its own and fills in the job for you: what they must have, what is nice to have, what to watch for, the salary, where the job is and how senior it is. Change anything that's wrong. When you edit the ad, it's read again once you close the editor.
- Paste a link to the job ad, or the text of the ad itself.
- Choose Read the job ad. Reading a job uses AI credits.
- Check what was read: seniority, salary, what they must have, what is nice to have and what to watch.
- The job title and company are filled in too. Change anything that is wrong.
- Choose Add to put the job on your board.
Reading a job uses AI credits. Show the ad as posted brings back the original text at any time.
Keep applications in a job search
Group applications into a job search, for example one per round of looking for work. The board shows each application at its stage: Shortlist, Applied, Interview, Offer or Rejected. Needs attention picks out what wants action, such as an offer to answer or an interview to prepare for, and Waiting longest sorts by how long each one has been quiet. After two weeks in Applied, a card suggests you follow up. When you're done, Finish job search puts the whole search away.
Move an application forward
The application's page shows its stage and what's next.
- Shortlist: I applied.
- Applied: Interview booked, or Didn't work out.
- Interview: Next round, Offer received, or Didn't work out.
- Offer: I accepted, Review the offer, or I turned it down.
- Rejected: Reopen.
Recording a stage never contacts the employer.
Check the fit and research the company
Once the ad is read and a CV is attached, the fit is checked on its own: the job ad against the CV you sent. It lists what they ask for that your CV shows, what your CV doesn't mention yet and what is worth changing. There is no score. It's checked again when you attach another CV or the ad is read again, and Check again shows when the CV changed since. Tailor a copy opens your CV in the editor with the Copilot ready to tailor it for this job, and you keep or skip each change it proposes.
When you book an interview, the company is researched on its own, or before that with Research now. It reads the company's own website, keeps the source next to every fact and drafts a 45-second answer to "What do you know about us?". Check every fact before you say it. Reading the ad, checking the fit and researching the company use AI credits. When they run out, the step says so in its card with a link to the plans.
Interviews and after
Add interview records a round and its date. The next interview shows at the top of the board; Prepare opens its prep page. On top it says how many of the interview's answers are Ready, with one button to practise them. Below are what you know about the company, the questions they'll ask and the ones you'll ask, and each answer shows its next step: Write it, Finish it or Practise. Add questions opens your answers in their groups, with suggestions from the job ad and a New question box. Add to calendar downloads a calendar file for the interview.
After the interview, Add your notes records how it went and what they asked. New questions go straight into Interview prep, and you can draft a thank-you note from your notes. Draft a follow-up writes a note for you to copy and send yourself; nothing is sent from WhizCV. When an offer arrives, Review the offer sets it against the job ad and what they told you in the interviews.
