CV templates that export as real text

Every design is ATS-readable: the PDF you download is selectable text, not a picture of a CV, so an applicant tracking system can actually parse it. Switch between designs at any time without losing a word of your content, and download the PDF on the free plan.

How to choose

  • Single column for long careers, two for dense ones

A single-column layout gives every role the full page width and keeps the reading order unambiguous — the safest choice when you have ten years of experience to lay out. Two-column and sidebar designs park skills, languages and contact details beside the timeline, which fits more on one page.

  • Photo conventions differ by country

A photo is expected on a German or Bulgarian CV and discouraged on a UK, Irish or US one. Pick a design that matches where you are applying — Meridian, Ledger, Quill, Signet and Slate come without one, and every template lets you switch the photo on or off.

  • The design is not a commitment

Your content and the design are separate in the builder, so you can move a finished CV onto another template in one click and compare them side by side before you send anything.
